Leed's Castle, Canterbury and Dover

I took a day trip outside of London a few days ago to Leed's Castle, the town of Canterbury (where the Anglican Church is based), and to the town of Dover. All are on the south eastern tip of England. While at Leed's Castle we saw a group re enacting life and fighting during the English Civil War, which was quite an interesting experience, photos of course are below. We did not spend that much time in Dover, so I hope to go back for a day on my own to explore.

The grounds of Leed's Castle

Yes there's a moat

Some [English] Civil War re-enacters

The soldiers with their officer

The creepy looking Christ in the entryway to the road to Canterbury Cathedral

They have problems filling the seats too

I didn't know the English had a civil war. The white cliffs must have been breathtaking, but the apartment building to the left of the shot must have killed the moment.
A real moat too!
