Dover and Brighton

My trips to the channel. Dover is known for the white cliffs, and is home to Dover Castle, which has been around since the 1100s and had been used up till the 1970s.

The keep and a trebuchet in the front

The castle from down in town , and yes I walked up that hill

Brighton is a resort town on the southern coast of England. It's famous for its amusement piers and the Royal Pavilion. It served as King George IV's 'pleasure palace' and is quite impressive on the inside. When I was in Brighton the weather was sadly rather overcast so I decided to do these in black and white. Also I neglected to take pictures in the more energetic parts of town, preferring the beach.

The town isn't as depressed as these pictures make it seem

The lonely hut on the beach would make a great album cover.
